This HEC-350AR-PT power supply is a 20pin power supply capable of powering the most power hungry of computer systems using the older 20 pin boards. These power supplies are subjected to rigorous quality control procedures to ensure maximum reliability and compatibility. With thermal control function, this unit complies with CISPR22 230 VAC Operation and meets EN60950 requirements.

Since January 2001 there have been tough regulations in the EU regarding power supplies. These regulations mean all new power supplies must have a feature called power factor correction (PFC) which increases the efficiency of the unit and avoids disruption of the mains supply in your building.

This ATX1 PSU is designed for high demand 20pin computer systems. It provides more power on the 3.3v and 5v lines than the newer 24pin ATX2 PSU's and has a higher 3.3v and 5v combined output. These characteristics are desirable for older computer systems wear as newer ATX2 PSU's are designed to give more power to the 12v output in line with modern requirements. If you are looking for a replacement PSU for an older system, particularly one featuring an AMD CPU, you may be better off using one of these PSU's rather than adapting an ATX2 model to 20pin configuration.
